


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the loss of lives in a horrific suicide bomb attack targeting a train in Quetta, Pakistan.In a condolence message issued on Sunday (May 24), the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families on behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh.
He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the blast.Strongly condemning all forms of terrorism and violence, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman expressed absolute solidarity with the people of Pakistan during this difficult time.The attack occurred on Sunday morning at approximately 8:05 am local time, when an explosives-laden vehicle struck a shuttle train operating near Quetta Cantonment.
The shuttle service was transporting passengers to connect with the long-distance Jaffar Express. The powerful blast derailed the engine and three coaches, overturning two of them. The death toll from the attack has reached at least 24, with more than 80 others—including women and children—seriously injured. The outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
