Fire Service DG Stresses Public Awareness to Curb Dry Season Fires

Director General (DG) of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD), Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal, emphasized the crucial need to continue the public awareness campaign to significantly reduce fire incidents during the dry season.

He made the remarks while addressing a durbar programme at the FSCD Headquarters in Dhaka.

Kamal also urged all FSCD officers and employees to prioritize the organization’s interests above all else.

He highlighted the humanitarian dedication of FSCD personnel, noting that ten members who served during the recent Myanmar earthquake were honored with the Swarak Medal by the Myanmar government.

In recognition of outstanding performance, the DG introduced and presented the "Director General's Appreciation" awards the first of its kind to officers excelling in operations, competitions, and administrative duties, which included certificates and cash rewards.
