Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan affirmed today that the interim government is committed to implementing state reforms and transforming the country into a "New Bangladesh", as outlined in the July National Charter and July Declaration.
Speaking at a seminar in the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall Auditorium, the adviser stressed that "July has changed Bangladesh in just 36 days."
The seminar, titled 'Gum Nikristo Fascibadi Shasoner Hatiyar' (A Tool of Repressed Fascist Rule), was organized by DUCSU and Procchod Prokashon for the cover unveiling of the book 'Aynaghorer Sakkhi: Gum Jiboner Aat Bochor' (Witness of the House of Mirrors: Eight Years of Disappeared Life), written by Barrister Mir Ahmed Bin Quashem Arman.
Adilur Rahman Khan declared the era of fascist rule has ended through the sacrifices of martyrs and the struggles of victims. He said Bangladesh has now emerged from the "darkness of extrajudicial killings and unlawful oppression," and efforts are underway to establish the rule of law and ensure justice for victims, noting that the trial process against perpetrators has already begun. He emphasized that the transformation is an ongoing struggle, urging citizens and political forces to uphold unity to prevent the return of fascism and sustain the country’s democratic and reformist journey.
