After about seven hours fire out in the Chittagong EPZ

The CEPZ fire broke out on the seventh floor of the building. Firefighters rushed to the spot and fire broke out throughout the night. Fire was felt about a few hundred meters away from the surrounding fire. Fire services as well as army, navy and BGB joined the fire fight but they were helpless by the intensity of the fire.

The building, located on the 5th street of the CEPZ's 1st sector, has two companies named Adams Cap and Textiles Limited and Jihang Medical Company, according to the fire service,. The building was empty, 7th floor was warehouse of Adams Cap and Textiles Limited and Jihang Medical Company. That's where the fire started, Adams Capé was developed with medical equipment, including Towel and Cap and Jihong Medical Surgical Gowns.

An official of the Chittagong Fire Service's control room told that the fire was brought under control at this morning 7am. Seventeen units are still working. It will take time to complete the fire, Fire Service said. However the cause of the fire is not yet known.
