Pakistan has conveyed a proposal from the United States to Iran, with Islamabad or Turkey being considered as potential venues for talks aimed at de-escalating the ongoing Gulf conflict.
Despite publicly rejecting negotiations with Donald Trump, Iranian officials have shown limited openness to diplomatic engagement. The reported U.S. plan includes curbs on Iran’s nuclear and missile programmes and reducing regional influence.
Meanwhile, military tensions remain high, with continued strikes between Iran, Israel, and U.S. allies, alongside plans by Washington to deploy additional troops to the region.
However, the proposal has eased market concerns, with oil prices falling amid cautious optimism over a possible diplomatic breakthrough.
