The official social media account of Ali Khamenei has posted a warning message against Israel even after the Iranian leader was reportedly killed in recent US-Israeli strikes on Tehran.
In a post on X, the account accused Israel of making a “big mistake” and warned that it would face serious consequences.
“The Zionist regime has made a big mistake, and its consequences will make the regime desperate, by God’s grace,” the message said.
The post included a three-panel graphic highlighting Iran’s missile capabilities. One panel shows a large ballistic missile launching into the sky. Another displays a missile mounted on a mobile launcher in a desert setting with soldiers and the Iranian flag visible. The final panel depicts scientists working inside a high-tech missile production facility.
Following Khamenei’s reported death in joint United States and Israel strikes on February 28, the profile description of the account was changed to “Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”
Since the strike, Iran has launched several waves of ballistic missiles targeting Israeli territory and US military bases across the region, according to officials.
Mixed reactions online
The message triggered mixed reactions from users online. Some users mocked the post, questioning how the account remains active after Khamenei’s death. Others expressed support for Iran and praised the warning message.
The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has now entered its seventh day, with military operations intensifying across the Middle East.
Israeli and US forces have continued airstrikes on Iranian military facilities, while Iran has carried out retaliatory missile and drone attacks across the region.
