The Venice Bangla Press Club Inauguration and Music Festival-2025 took place in Italy

Recently, the inauguration and music festival for the newly established committee of the Venice Bangla Press Club Italy, which serves as a connection between Bangladesh and Italy, took place in Venice, one of the most visited cities in the world.

The inauguration of the newly formed executive committee of the Venice Bangla Press Club Italy occurred in the presence of both Italians and expatriate Bangladeshis in the spacious hall of the 'Colbe Theater' located at Via Aleardi 156 in the local city of Venice Mestre. The program organized by the press club, founded in 2009 and subsequently registered with the government, was highly enjoyable, diverse, and exciting.

This event marked the first occasion in Venice where the languages, history, and culture of both nations were showcased through the enthusiastic participation of Bengalis and Italians in any program.

The initial segment of the program featured the recitation of the Quran and the reading of the Bible. Following this, the national anthems of Bangladesh and Italy created a captivating and joyful ambiance. With the fluent presentation by architect Ritu and journalist Giorgio in both Bengali and Italian, the convener of Venice Bangla Press Club Italy, Mesbah Uddin Alal, led a discussion meeting, announced the newly elected committee, and presented awards in various categories.

To commence the event, welcome and greeting speeches were delivered by the advisors of Venice Bangla Press Club Italy, distinguished businessman Mr. Abul Kalam Azad and Adv. GianAlberto Scarpa Basteri.

The Assessore of the Veneto Region, Sig. Cristiano Corazzari, addressed the audience as the chief guest via a video message. The chief advisor of the Press Club, Adv. Ludovica Basteri, Consigliere citta di Venezia, along with Maika Canton (FDI), Mr. Milton Rahman, Head of News at Channel S in London, distinguished lawyer Rehan Uddin Dulal, journalist R Alam Shawkat, and social figures Shahajahan Kabir Idris, Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan, and prominent businessman Shahadat Hossain, were among those present. Additionally, social personalities Mamun Sarkar, Sergio Fapo, Dimitteo Mauro, and others such as Sarbjanab Abdul Nasir, Kashem Sikder, Safayet Sarkar, Rafiqul Islam Swapan, Abdul Hannan, Md. Kamal, Sakayat Hossain, Shayek Ahmed, Mosharraf Molla, Aziz Munshi, Abul Kashem Shanto, Jabrul Islam, and more attended the event.

Moreover, various social and political leaders from the Venice Bangladesh community were also in attendance. It is important to highlight that the Venice Bangla Press Club, founded in 2009, has been actively engaged in Italy's enduring social, cultural, humanitarian, religious, educational, and entertainment initiatives.

The latter part of the event featured the introduction and grand inauguration of the newly established executive committee, along with the presentation of awards to outstanding citizens across different categories.

In conclusion, the newly elected president Mesbahuddin Alal expressed in his speech that the bridge created through today's inaugural event will lessen the distance between us and enhance its significance, God willing. He extended his gratitude to all attendees and officially concluded the event.
