A 14-year-old schoolboy was killed after being hit by a bus near Pabna city’s central bus terminal on Friday noon.

The deceased, Naeem, was the son of Jahangir Hossain from the city's Shalgaria area and an eighth-grade student at RM Academy.

According to police and local sources, the accident occurred at Chetana More on the Pabna-Dhaka highway. Naeem was reportedly on his way to a local motorcycle market in the Kaliko Cotton Mill area to sell a motorcycle when a bus struck him at the intersection.

Pabna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tariqul Islam confirmed the incident.
