Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is set to marry his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, on Sunday, July 5. The 61-year-old actor confirmed the news on Thursday, July 2, while speaking to reporters at a special Mumbai screening of the upcoming web series, Pritam and Pedro.
The wedding will skip the traditional Bollywood grandeur in favor of a private registry and celebration at Khan's Bandra residence, attended only by close family and friends. "Yes, our wedding is on July 5. We are hosting it at home; it will be a very small, intimate affair," Aamir shared with the press. Seeking good wishes for their new chapter, he added, "This is a very special day for us.
We just need everyone's blessings so that we can have a happy and beautiful journey ahead." His elder son, Junaid Khan, was by his side during the event, smiling as his father made the public announcement. Aamir formally introduced Gauri to the media in March of last year during his 60th birthday celebrations. Their relationship naturally evolved into romance after years of friendship.
Gauri, an entrepreneur, has a seven-year-old son from a previous relationship. Reports confirm that all four children from their blended family will play an active role in Sunday's ceremony. This will be Aamir Khan's third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002, and they share two children, Junaid and Ira. In 2005, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao. Though the couple announced their separation in 2021 after 15 years together, they continue to amicably co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan.
