World Vision Inspires Creativity at Mirpur Children's 'Dream Festival'

World Vision Bangladesh hosted an inspiring children's event, the "Dream Festival (JAU-A-JAINGH)," in Mirpur Dhaka on Thursday. Designed to foster reading habits, creativity and human values the day-long festival engaged over a hundred young students in a vibrant celebration of learning.

Organized by the Life Center Project the festival seamlessly blended education with creative expression. Project Manager Prerna Chisim delivered the welcome address, emphasizing that providing children with books unlocks endless possibilities and builds a critical foundation for analytical thinking and self-confidence.

The event featured a variety of engaging contests. Children eagerly participated in reading, paragraph writing puzzle-solving storytelling and instant quizzes. Alongside these competitions students from learning centers such as Rangdhanu Alo Disha Suryajmukhi and Prajapati showcased their talents through captivating cultural performances including poetry plays and an educational puppet show.

A major highlight of the day was an interactive stall exhibition featuring educational materials and crafts made entirely by the students. Visiting government officials toured the stalls commending the children’s ingenuity and visible learning progress.

Addressing the gathering, World Vision’s Khan Manchura Akhter Twin stressed the critical need to invest in children's leadership and values to ensure sustainable national development.

Senior government officials, including Mir Abdul Awal Al Mehedi, Director at the Directorate of Primary Education and Md. Joynal Abedin Assistant Director at the Dhaka District Primary Education Office delivered inspiring speeches. The festival concluded with a joyful prize-giving ceremony sending over a hundred children home with awards new books and a renewed passion for learning.
