


A three-day land service fair commenced in Bhola on Tuesday (May 19) to make land-related public services more accessible and hassle-free for citizens.
The local events began following the nationwide inauguration of the fair by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, who launched the initiative via a broadcast from Dhaka.
Following the national announcement, the Bhola District Administration hosted a special discussion meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Rajibul Islam. Afterwards, a vibrant rally began at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, parading through key city roads before concluding at the Sadar Upazila Land Office.
There, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shamim Rahman officially opened the fair’s service booths and exhibitions to the public.
Superintendent of Police Md. Shahidullah Kawsar attended the opening ceremony as a special guest. Other notable attendees included Civil Surgeon Dr. Monirul Islam, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) District President Md. Amirul Islam Ratan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Arifuzzaman, and Assistant Commissioner (Land) S.M. Mashiur Rahman, alongside local administration officials and political leaders.
