


A new healthcare facility titled “Mokshed Ali Memorial Hospital and Diagnostic Center” has been inaugurated in the Mollarhat area of Nalchiti upazila, Jhalokathi. The hospital was established with personal funding from Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Bablu, Principal of Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Saturday (May 9) at 11:00 am. The program was chaired by the hospital founder Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Bablu. Jhalokathi-2 MP Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto attended as the chief guest, while Md. Yunus Ali Siddiqui, Chairman of the Barisal Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, was present as a special guest.
Among others, Dr. Shams-e-Jahan Sonia, Medical Officer of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Abdul Hai Al Hadi, District Election Officer, Dr. Abu Bakkar Siddique, Principal of Baghia Madrasa, and several local political leaders, educators, doctors, and professionals attended the event.
Speaking as chief guest, MP Elen Bhutto said healthcare is a social responsibility and the government is working to ensure medical services reach rural communities. She expressed hope that the new hospital will provide affordable treatment for people in Mollarhat and surrounding areas.
Founder Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Bablu said the hospital has been established to bring improved healthcare services closer to the public and that modern facilities will be expanded in phases.
The event concluded with a prayer session conducted by Dr. Abu Bakar Siddique and moderation by GK Sohag.
