


The body of an unidentified elderly woman, believed to be mentally unstable, was recovered Tuesday from the Ala Munshi intersection on the Kalna-Narail-Jashore National Highway in Lohagara.
Local residents spotted the woman in critical condition around 11:30 am and alerted the Lohagara Police Station. Police and locals promptly transported her to the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, where the attending physician pronounced her dead upon arrival.
Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Rahman stated that the deceased appeared to be approximately 75 years old. According to local accounts, she had been living on the porches of shops in the Ala Munshi area for the past few months.
Police have sent the body to the Narail Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. OC Abdur Rahman added that if her identity remains unknown following the medical examination, she will be buried through the Anjuman Mofidul Islam service.
