"Osman Hadi Smriti Mancha" Launched in Nalchiti on 100th Day of Martyrdom

To mark the 100th day of the martyrdom of Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Osman Hadi, a new organization titled "Osman Hadi Smriti Mancha" was officially launched in his birthplace, Nalchiti, Jhalakathi. The organization aims to uphold the original culture of Bangladesh, continue the struggle for sovereignty against foreign hegemony, and ensure justice for Osman Hadi’s murder.

The inauguration took place on Saturday, March 28, at 4:00 PM at the Nalchiti Central Shaheed Minar, drawing people from all walks of life.

The event was attended by the martyr’s sister, Masuma Hadi, and brother-in-law, Amir Hossain. Also present were Sultan Talukder (father of martyr Selim Talukder), Upazila Sechchhasebak Dal Convener Touhid Alam Manna, former Municipal Councilor Ziaul Kabir Mithu, and Upazila Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Sujan Khan. Other notable attendees included journalist Ismail Musafir, NCP Convener Lavlu Bepari, cultural activist Mahua Islam, and various leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement.

During the ceremony, Masuma Hadi presented the organization’s founding vision. She stated that the "Smriti Mancha" would carry forward her brother's mission to protect Bangladesh’s cultural heritage and independence. She noted that the organization was formed in response to widespread requests from citizens across the country who wished to see Osman Hadi’s voice preserved for future generations.

Masuma Hadi also raised serious concerns regarding the investigation into her brother’s death. "Even after 100 days, justice remains elusive," she said, questioning if the delays were intentional. She urged the government to expedite the legal process, demanding the immediate extradition of the killers from India to face maximum punishment.

The program, hosted by Rahat Abdullah of Kushtia Islamic University, began with a Quran recitation and concluded with Islamic music and a prayer session (Milad).
