


Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer with 1,200 yaba tablets during a special operation in Chattogram.
The operation was carried out on the night of February 26 by Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) under Panchlaish Model Police Station.
The arrested man was identified as Sagar Sardar (25).
Police said Sub-Inspector Md. Maruf Bin Abdullah, along with members of the force, conducted the raid based on confidential information. The operation took place at Mofiz’s rickshaw garage in the Rail Gate area, near the Forest Research Laboratory. During a search, officers recovered 1,200 illegal yaba tablets from the suspect’s possession.
A case has been filed against the accused under Section 10(a) of Schedule 36(1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, at Panchlaish Model Police Station. After completing legal formalities, the accused was sent to court, police confirmed.
