


A "Back to School" campaign and blanket distribution program was held at Adarsh Pilot Girls High School in Nageshwari on Wednesday to prevent child marriage and encourage educational continuity.
Organized by the non-governmental organization Bhav Bangladesh, with funding from the Malala Fund and collaboration from the Mass Literacy Campaign, the event focused on the critical role students play in ending child marriage.
During the session, students shared personal insights and success stories about resisting child marriage to achieve self-reliance. Speakers highlighted the devastating social and personal impacts of early marriage and urged students to remain committed to their education.
Following the discussion, organizers distributed blankets to 120 meritorious and underprivileged students selected from four schools across the upazila to help them cope with the ongoing winter cold.
Key Participants The program was chaired by Mosharraf Hossain, Headmaster of Adarsh Pilot Girls High School, and moderated by M.A. Alim Khan, Assistant Country Director of Bhav Bangladesh. Upazila Academic Supervisor Nikhil Chandra Barman attended as the chief guest, alongside Special Guest Shafiqul Islam, Headmaster of Raiganj Girls High School.
