PSTU Green Forum Mourns the Death of Begum Khaleda Zia

The Green Forum of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) has expressed deep sorrow and condolences at the passing of former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message issued on Sunday (30 December), signed by Green Forum President Professor Dr. Md. Mamun-ur-Rashid and Secretary Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Masud, the forum conveyed its profound grief over her demise.

The statement described Begum Khaleda Zia as a distinguished political leader and a seasoned statesperson, noting that her contributions to safeguarding Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty, restoring democracy, and promoting a multi-party political culture will remain etched in the nation’s history.

The Green Forum prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members.

It is noteworthy that Begum Khaleda Zia, a three-time Prime Minister of Bangladesh, passed away in the early hours of 30 December while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka after a prolonged illness.
