


The Chandraganj Police Station has successfully recovered six firearms from a graveyard located in Alaapur, Noakhali. The recovery took place during a raid in Chandraganj East Bazar under the jurisdiction of Begumganj Police Station on the morning of Sunday, December 7. The haul included five rifles and one LG.
According to police reports, the operation was initiated following a confidential tip-off, leading the Chandraganj Police Station to conduct a raid in Alaapur (Chandraganj East Bazar) within Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali. Subsequently, six packets wrapped in paper were discovered in the graveyard, containing five rifles and one LG.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faizul Azim Noman of Chandraganj Police Station stated that the raid was executed under the directives of senior officials in a graveyard situated in Begumganj, a border area of Chandraganj. Local public representatives and residents were present during the early morning operation.
The six weapons retrieved from the graveyard in Alayapur have been confiscated. However, the identity of the individual who placed the firearms in the graveyard remains unknown. The police are actively pursuing leads to identify those responsible.
