


Three passengers traveling in a battery-operated autorickshaw lost their lives instantly when a speeding bus collided with them in Bhanga, Faridpur. Four additional individuals, including a child, sustained injuries in the incident. The injured parties have been rescued and taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex. Among the deceased are two women and one man, though their identities have not yet been confirmed.
The collision occurred around noon on Friday (December 5) at the Kaidubi Sadardi rail crossing on the Faridpur-Bhanga-Barisal highway. Emergency services, including police and fire personnel, arrived at the scene promptly to initiate a rescue operation.
Sub-Inspector Sohel Mia of the Bhanga Highway Police Station reported that the autorickshaw was en route to Chumurdi Union from Bhanga Sadar. Upon reaching the Koidubi Sadardi rail crossing, it was struck by a fast-moving New Modern Paribahan bus traveling from the opposite direction, resulting in the immediate deaths of three passengers. Four others were injured and subsequently rescued and transported to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex. The bus involved in the accident has been confiscated, and police are actively working to ascertain the identities of both the deceased and the injured.
