Bangladesh snapped a four-series losing streak to secure a 2-1 series victory over the West Indies, culminating in a massive 179-run win in the third and final ODI in Mirpur.

This commanding victory was Bangladesh's second-largest in ODIs and their biggest-ever against the West Indies. It also marked Mehidy Hasan Miraz's maiden series win as captain.

The victory was set up by a record-breaking batting performance. Openers Saif Hassan (80, his maiden ODI fifty) and Soumya Sarkar (91, his 14th ODI fifty) shared a 176-run opening stand partnership was the highest for Bangladesh in ODIs at Mirpur, surpassing a 10-year-old record, and also their highest against the West Indies. Critically, it ended a long drought for the Tigers, being their first 100-plus opening stand in 45 innings.

Rishad Hossain was named the Player of the Series for his exceptional all-round performance, taking a series-leading 12 wickets and scoring 68 runs. Soumya Sarkar topped the run charts with 140 runs.
