Home Advisor Lt. Gen. (Retd) Md. Jahidul Islam Chowdhury announced on Monday that nearly 25,000 polling centres have been identified as "risky" or "very important" for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.

Following a high-level meeting on law and order at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Advisor shared a detailed security breakdown. Out of a total of 42,761 polling stations, the government has categorized 8,784 as "very important" (high risk) and 16,548 as "important" (risky).

To ensure a peaceful voting environment a massive force of approximately 900,000 law enforcers will be mobilized, the Ansar & VDP: 450,000 personnel, Police: 150,000 personnel, Bangladesh Army: 100,000 personnel, BGB, Navy, and Air Force remaining contingents.

In a move to increase transparency and deter violence, police stationed at high-risk centres will be equipped with 25,000 body cameras. Additionally, every polling station across the country will be under CCTV surveillance. These measures aim to provide "complete security" for the 127.6 million eligible voters.
