Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday extended his greetings to the people of Bangladesh and Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In a message shared on his verified Facebook page, the Prime Minister highlighted that the festival serves as a reminder of the supreme spirit of sacrifice, deep faith, and self-purification.
"This glorified Islamic festival is not merely a celebration of joy, but it also carries an eternal message of devotion," he said. He noted that the unwavering faith and unconditional obedience demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) make the day deeply significant for the Muslim Ummah.
On this auspicious occasion, the Prime Minister extended "Eid Mubarak" to all and prayed for peace, security, and stability across Bangladesh, the Muslim world, and humanity as a whole.
"May this holy Eid-ul-Azha shine with the glory of sacrifice. May Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers, and may our lives be filled with peace and prosperity through His endless mercy," he concluded.
