


Six more children have died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday (May 11).
The DGHS said six people died from suspected measles during the period, raising the total number of suspected measles-related deaths to 350 between March 15 and May 11. No confirmed measles deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
During the same period, 1,341 new suspected measles cases were recorded, bringing the total number of suspected cases to 50,500 since March 15.
The DGHS also reported 118 confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases has now reached 6,937.
Since March 15, a total of 35,980 people have been admitted to hospitals with suspected measles. Among them, 31,992 patients have recovered and been discharged.
