Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today, Monday, at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Secretariat.

The Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, confirmed the meeting.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman outlined Bangladesh’s "Bangladesh First" policy. In response, Ambassador Yao Wen reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s sovereignty. The two leaders also discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
