HSC and Equivalent Exam Results Published: 58.83% Pass Rate

The results for the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been officially released. The overall average pass rate stands at 58.83% across the nine general education boards, the Madrasah Education Board, and the Technical Education Board.

The announcement was made at a press conference at the Dhaka Education Board in Bakshi Bazar by Professor Dr. Khandaker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and convener of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.

The general education boards showed varied results. Dhaka Board registered the highest success rate at 64.62%. This was followed by Barishal Board at 62.57% and Rajshahi Board at 59.40%.

The remaining boards recorded pass rates below the national average: Dinajpur at 57.49%, Chattogram at 52.57%, Sylhet at 51.86%, Mymensingh at 51.54%, Jashore at 50.20, and Cumilla recorded the lowest pass rate at 48.86%.

A hundred percent of the students have passed the examinations of 3025 in 345 educational institutions however in 2024 the number of passes was 1388. Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordinating Committee and Dhaka Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Khandoker Ehsanul Kabir confirmed, the number of pass institutions has decreased by one thousand and forty-three.
