The Election Commission (EC) has indicated that the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election may be announced on Wednesday.

The announcement is expected to be made by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin in an address that will be broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV).

In preparation for this, the Election Commission has already sent official letters to the state-run media outlets, BTV and Bangladesh Betar (radio), instructing them to be ready to record and air the CEC's speech.

EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed confirmed this development on Monday (December 8th). He stated that the letters were sent to BTV and Bangladesh Betar asking them to come on December 10th for the recording. The Commission, however, will inform the outlets later regarding the exact time of the recording.

This move signals the imminent start of the formal election process for the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
