


Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh President Md Sahabuddin during his official visit to Bangladesh. The meeting took place at Bangabhaban on Sunday, November 23rd, and was held in a "very warm and friendly atmosphere."
The primary focus of the discussion was on further strengthening bilateral relations and addressing various issues of mutual interest between the two countries. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the excellent existing bilateral relations and stressed the need to deepen and diversify the relationship.
Fruitful discussions were held regarding enhanced cooperation across several key sectors, including Trade, Investment, Energy, Tourism, Education, Health, Climate Change.
During the meeting, the Bhutanese Prime Minister highly appreciated the socio-economic evelopment of Bangladesh and conveyed a message of deep friendship from the people of Bhutan to the people of Bangladesh. In response, President Md Sahabuddin expressed his desire to further strengthen the people-to-people relations between the two nations.
Following the meeting, the Bhutanese Prime Minister took a photograph with the President and signed the guest book. Bhutan's Ambassador to Dhaka, Dasho Karma Hamu Dorji, and other members of the Bhutanese delegation were present during the call.
