A fire erupted at a Meena Bazar retail outlet located in the Mohammadpur Mohammadia Housing Society in Dhaka on Thursday night. The blaze began around 9:04 pm.

The Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Control Room was immediately notified. Two fire service units were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control within 41 minutes, by 9:45 pm. Crucially, no casualties were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire could not be immediately determined by officials.
