A traditional day-long bullfight, organized by the Nabin Jubo Sangha, captivated thousands at the Raghunathpur football field in Kalia Upazila, Narail, on Friday.
The event, which ran from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, saw the grounds packed to capacity. With no standing room left on the field, many spectators resorted to climbing trees to catch a glimpse of the action.
The competition featured approximately 100 bulls. Two participants, 'Prince Raja' and 'Sada Mastan,' emerged as the crowd favorites, drawing significant cheers during their bouts. For locals, the event is more than just a game; it is a cherished cultural tradition passed down through generations.
Organizers stated that the annual event aims to preserve rural heritage and provide community entertainment. "We hope to continue this tradition in the years to come," a representative of Nabin Jubo Sangha remarked.
To ensure public safety, local authorities strengthened security measures throughout the day, and the event concluded without any untoward incidents.
