


Government activities resumed in full swing today, Monday (June 1), following the holy Eid-ul-Azha vacation. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at the Bangladesh Secretariat at around 10:00 AM to lead the first post-holiday working day, confirmed the Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary, Zahidul Islam Rony.
According to sources within the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Premier faces a busy agenda on his first day back in the capital. The Administrator of the Khulna City Corporation met with the Prime Minister at 10:30 AM.
Later in the afternoon, the Prime Minister is scheduled to chair separate developmental discussions with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs at the Secretariat’s Cabinet Building starting at 1:30 PM. Following these ministerial reviews, he will preside over a high-level meeting at 2:00 PM to outline strategic steps for the growth and expansion of the country's pharmaceuticals industry.
With the Prime Minister's active presence and immediate engagement in key policy assessments, the central administrative machinery has returned to regular operations.
