


BRTA Chairman (Additional Secretary) Abu Momtaz Saad Uddin Ahmed said that those who keep the wheels of development moving are falling on the roads. A large number of them are between the ages of 5 and 29.
He said, we are committed to restoring order on the roads. From now on, BRTA will work together with various labor organizations to maintain order on the roads. He said, a trustee board has been formed for people killed and injured on the roads. If a person dies on the road, 5 lakh taka is given, if he is disabled, 3 lakh taka and if he is injured, 1 lakh taka. Which must be distributed among the families within 30 days.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest while distributing checks approved by the BRTA Trustee Board among 21 families of those injured and killed in road accidents in Faridpur district.
The cheque distribution was organized by the district administration and BRTA at the conference room of Faridpur Circuit House on Thursday afternoon.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mintu Biswas, Faridpur BRTA Assistant Director Palash Chakma, Motor Vehicle Inspector Md. Zafar Hasan, leaders of labor organizations and families of those injured and killed in road accidents were present among others.
Later, he handed over cheques to 21 families of those killed and injured in road accidents.
