


This year, 393 additional students improved from failing to passing in the HSC examination conducted by the Chittagong Education Board. Among them, 32 achieved a GPA-5. In total, the grades of 1,236 examinees were altered following the re-evaluation of answer sheets for the 2025 HSC examination.
On the morning of Sunday, November 16, the Chittagong Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board released the results of the re-evaluation.
Professor Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, the Examination Controller of the Education Board, reported that 28,341 HSC candidates applied for the re-evaluation of 110,229 answer sheets. Out of these, 1,236 answer sheets had their grades modified, with 393 students moving from fail to pass. Additionally, 32 students received a GPA-5 after their grades were adjusted, and 10 students had their results changed in more than one subject.
The application period for the re-evaluation of answer sheets was from October 17 to 23. In 2025, a total of 102,970 students participated in the Chittagong Education Board examination, with 53,560 passing. The pass rate for boys was 48.95 percent, while for girls, it was 55.49 percent. The pass rate in the science department stood at 78.75 percent, in the business education department at 55.30 percent, and in the humanities department at 37.08 percent. Both the overall pass rate and the number of students achieving GPA-5 have declined compared to the previous year.
