Shibchar Career Club honoured and awarded students who secured GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations in Shibchar Upazila, Madaripur.
The programme was held at the Upazila Auditorium in shibchar on Saturday. During the event and honorary crests were awarded to 81 meritorious students from various educational institutions in the Upazila.
The programme was presided over by Masudur Rahman, Convener of the Shibchar Career Club and Senior Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) H. M. Ibne Mizan attended the event as the chief guest.
Addressing the students the Senior Assistant Secretary Masudur Rahman said, Achieving GPA-5 in the SSC exam is not the end of your success but rather the beginning of a new journey toward fulfilling your dreams. You now face the major challenges of higher education and career building. Making the right decisions at the right time will propel you further along your future path. The Shibchar Career Club will stand by you on this journey. Your success is not just a personal or family achievement; it is a source of pride and accomplishment for Shibchar as well.
Shibchar Upazila Nirbahi Officer UNO H. M. Ibne Mizan told the students that good results alone do not make a person truly educated, honesty, discipline, perseverance and humanitarian values are equally important. He emphasized that students should strive for success through patriotism and a strong sense of responsibility.
“Those who possess a genuine sense of patriotism are truly talented. Without patriotism and even a talented person cannot contribute meaningfully to the country and its people. Alongside higher education, I hope you will develop yourselves as ideal citizens with patriotism, morality and strong humanitarian values.” he added.
Also present at the event were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Jewel Mia, Shibchar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Rakibul Hasan, and Upazila Secondary Education Office Academic Supervisor Md. Asadur Rahman, along with teachers, students, guardians and representatives from various social organizations.
