


A three-year-old girl tragically drowned in a river in the Madhukhali municipality of Faridpur on Friday morning.
The deceased baby girl Hasna(3) was the only daughter of Kuwait expatriate Pappa Biswas a resident of Dawalia Para village in Ward No. 4.
According to family members the toddler was playing near her home when she wandered off toward the nearby river unnoticed. She accidentally slipped into the water and drowned.
When her family realized she was missing and they launched a frantic search of the surrounding areas. Shortly after the locals and relatives recovered her lifeless body from the river.
The sudden and tragic death of the young child has cast a deep shadow of mourning over her family and the entire Dawalia Para village. Child drownings remain a leading cause of accidental death for infants in rural Bangladesh highlighting the ongoing need for protective barriers near open water bodies.
