Government Compulsorily Retires 7 Assistant Superintendents of Police

The government has sent seven officers holding the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) into compulsory retirement from public service in the public interest.

The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Police-1 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (August 13), in accordance with the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

Signed by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Manzur Murshed Chowdhury, by order of the President, the notification stated that the order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect. The retired officers will receive all post-retirement benefits as per the rules.

The seven retired officers are: Noore Alam Siddiqui, Assistant Superintendent of Police at RAB Headquarters, Md. Nurul Motaqin, Assistant Commissioner (Patrol), Tejgaon Division, DMP, Kazi Wazed Ali, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Matiranga Circle, Khagrachhari, Md. Saiduzzaman, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Galachipa Circle, Patuakhali, Md. Golam Kibria, Assistant Superintendent of Police, RAB-2, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Superintendent of Police, RRF, Dhaka and Md. Robiul Islam, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sirajganj District.

Following the issuance of this order, the seven officers will be considered officially retired from government service.
