The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has finalized five franchise owners for the next edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) following a meeting of the BPL Governing Council. The ownership rights have been granted for a five-year term.
The finalized franchise pairings are Rangpur Riders Secured by Toggi Sports (a Bashundhara Group concern). Chattogram: Awarded to Triangular Services. Rajshahi: Taken by Nabil Group. Sylhet: Acquired by Cricket With Sami. Dhaka: Secured by Champion Sports (Remark-Harllan).
BCB Governing Council member secretary Ifthekar Rahman noted that the selection prioritized financial transparency and long-term stability. Franchises must provide a Tk 10 crore bank guarantee within the next five working days to qualify for the players' draft. The upcoming BPL season is tentatively set to begin in mid-December, with the players' draft scheduled for November 17. Team names and branding will be determined following further discussions.
