Nurul Haque Nur, president of the People's Rights Council and member of parliament (MP) for Patuakhali-3, is joining the new government's cabinet.

He will take oath as a cabinet member on Tuesday (February 17) afternoon. He will be given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment.

94 candidates of the People's Rights Council participated in the parliamentary elections under the truck symbol. Among them, Nur was the candidate of the BNP alliance. The truck symbol received 0.33 percent of the total votes cast across the country.

After winning the election, the President of the People's Rights Council recently spoke to Jago News about the development plan of the area, the party's position and future political strategy.
