Faridpur Human Chain Demands Arrest of Trafficking Gang

Victims’ families held a human chain in Faridpur on Tuesday to protest an organized gang involved in fraud and human trafficking. The demonstration took place in front of the Faridpur Press Club at 12:00 PM.

Participants demanded the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of Imran Kazi, Sharmin Kazi, Ilyas Kazi, and their father Milu Kazi, along with their associates.

According to the victims, the gang embezzled large sums of money from 80 to 100 families by promising overseas employment. The group allegedly used fake visas and documents to defraud people. In several cases, victims were detained under the guise of travel arrangements—an act the families described as human trafficking.

Families further claimed that seven individuals were previously taken abroad and held in captivity. These victims eventually returned to Bangladesh under difficult circumstances and exposed the gang's operations.

The protesters issued several key demands Immediate arrest of the accused family members. Exemplary legal punishment for all involved. Full refund of the embezzled money to the victim families. Dismantling the entire human trafficking ring.

Speakers at the event urged journalists and the public to raise awareness against such organized crimes to prevent further exploitation.
