Gazipur Veterinary Students’ Association Holds Iftar and Prayer Mahfil

The Gazipur Veterinary Students’ Association hosted a prayer and Iftar mahfil on Monday, March 16, at Ahnaf’s Kitchen Restaurant on Rajbari Road, Gazipur. The event, held to mark the 26th of Ramadan, brought together students and professionals from the veterinary sector.

Dr. Mohammad Shahin Miah, Gazipur Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer and Chief Advisor of the association, attended as the Chief Guest. The program was presided over by the association’s President, Safi Bin Amjad Alvi, and moderated by General Secretary Md. Mehedi Hasan.

Distinguished speakers included Dr. Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, Head of Surgery at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital; Professor Nazrul Islam, President of the Combined Professional Council; and Advocate Tauhidul Islam Roni, General Secretary of Sadar Metro Thana BNP. Other notable attendees included Advocate Rezaul Karim Rubel, Azizur Rahman Kiron, Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Khan, and Dr. Mosammat Sharifa Khatun.

Speakers highlighted the need for professional development and stronger cooperation between veteran practitioners and students. Before Iftar, Dr. Mohammad Wasiul Hasan Wasif led a special prayer (munajat) for the welfare of the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
