The Gazipur Sadar and Sreepur Upazila units of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami hosted an Iftar and discussion program in honor of local journalists.

Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Ameer of Gazipur District Jamaat-e-Islami, attended as the chief guest, while District Nayeb-e-Ameer Md. Abdul Hakim was the special guest. The event was presided over by Principal Mostafizur Rahman Khan, Assistant Secretary General (Media and Publicity) for the district.

In his address, Dr. Jahangir Alam described journalists as the "mirror and conscience of society." He urged the media to remain steadfast in their pursuit of truth and justice. He also emphasized the necessity of national unity to uphold democratic values, regardless of political shifts.

Other attendees included Sreepur Upazila Ameer Maulana Nurul Islam, Assistant Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Municipal Secretary General Abul Hossain, Upazila Nayeb-e-Ameer Prof. Abdul Bari, and Gazipur Sadar Ameer Alauddin. The program concluded with an exchange of views between the political leaders and media professionals.
