


The court has ordered the case to be sent to the Chattogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court to start the next phase of the judicial proceedings in the lawyer Saiful Islam Alif murder case.
Judge Abu Bakkar Siddique of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Court-1 issued this order on Tuesday (December 23). Jamal Uddin, the plaintiff in the case and the father of the deceased Alif, was present in the court when the order was announced.
According to court sources, the investigation officer of the case submitted the charge sheet on June 1 this year. Later, after the hearing on August 15, the court accepted the charge sheet.
Although a total of 39 people were named as accused in the charge sheet, 17 of them are still absconding. The court issued arrest warrants, attachment and hulia to arrest the absconding accused. In addition, a notice has been published in the newspaper to find them. It is known that the case has now reached a stage suitable for trial as all the legal processes of the lower court have been completed.
