


A day-long program featuring school uniform distribution, a traditional pitha festival, sports competitions and various other activities was organized for underprivileged children at Gyaner Pathshala, an educational institution located in Char Singati village under Naragati Police Station in Kalia upazila of Narail.
The event was organized by the USD Foundation on Friday (July 31), with support from Agami and Sorolota Foundation.
As part of the program, school uniforms were distributed among the students. The Kalia Upazila administration donated various sports equipment, including footballs, volleyballs and chess sets, along with tree saplings to the school. A tree-planting activity was also held on the school premises.
The program was chaired by Md. Sazzad Hossain, founder and chairman of Gyaner Pathshala.
Speaking as the chief guest, Kalia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Jinnatul Islam said everyone in society should come forward to ensure every child's right to education.
He also emphasized the importance of involving children not only in education but also in sports and creative activities. He assured that the upazila administration would continue supporting such humanitarian initiatives.
Among those present were Md. Jamil Uddin Sikdar, chief adviser of Gyaner Pathshala; Md. Khairul Islam Chowdhury, adviser; Raofun Rahman, representative of Sorolota Foundation; and other local dignitaries.
The day-long event also featured a traditional pitha festival, various sports competitions and a prize-giving ceremony for the winners. The students took part in the activities with great enthusiasm, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere across the school premises.
