Several newly constructed facilities and development works at the Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra Satsang Himaitpur Ashram in Pabna were inaugurated on Saturday (September 19) by Pabna-5 constituency MP Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas.
The inaugurated projects include a newly constructed bridge on the bank of Anukul Sayer, the newly built sixth ghat at Anukul Sayer, a paved road along the sayer and newly completed concrete work at the Pitrimatri Memorial Temple premises.
According to the ashram authorities, the new bridge covers 1,910 square feet, while the sixth ghat covers 470 square feet. The paved road along the sayer covers 1,200 square feet, and the newly completed concrete work at the Pitrimatri Memorial Temple premises covers 1,560 square feet.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Shimul Biswas said infrastructure development at religious and social institutions contributes to better public movement, religious activities and social harmony.
He praised the development initiatives undertaken by the Satsang authorities and expressed hope that welfare-oriented activities would continue in the future.
He also said a clean and attractive environment can help foster positive thinking and strengthen mutual harmony among people. Therefore, he said, development of religious and social institutions is not limited to physical infrastructure but also plays an important role in bringing people together and strengthening social bonds.
Officials of the Satsang, devotees, local dignitaries and people from various professions attended the programme.
The authorities said the inauguration of the newly constructed facilities has added a new dimension to the ongoing infrastructure development of Himaitpur Satsang Ashram.
Recent reporting also identifies Shimul Biswas as the MP for Pabna-5 and notes his involvement with the Himaitpur Satsang Ashram.
