Pakistani security forces have killed at least 11 militants during separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan under "Operation Raddul Fitna 3" according to security sources.
In the Panjgur district Security forces conducted a raid in the Gowargo area resulting in the deaths of five suspected militants. Authorities also recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition from the site. Simultaneously in the Chagai district, security personnel carried out targeted operations in the Ameenabad and Siah Chang areas, eliminating six more militants. Security sources claimed the militants were foreign-backed.
These operations come amid a severe surge in militant activities across Pakistan particularly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces following the political shifts in neighboring Afghanistan in 2021.
According to a recent report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), KP and Balochistan remain the country's primary hotspots for violence. During the second quarter of 2026, these two provinces accounted for nearly 96% of all violence-related fatalities nationwide. Of the total recorded deaths, over 61% (475 fatalities) occurred in KP while Balochistan accounted for 34% (265 fatalities).
Furthermore, KP and Balochistan recorded 57% and 35% of the nationwide violent incidents respectively, highlighting the heavy concentration of militant activity in these border regions. Authorities are continuing to intensify security crackdowns to restore stability in the affected areas.
