Seven senior officials of Bangladesh Police have been transferred and assigned to new posts, according to a notification issued by the Home Ministry on Tuesday (November 3).
The notification was issued by the Police-1 Branch of the ministry and stated that the orders, made in the public interest, would take immediate effect.
Under the changes, Mohammad Ahsan Habib Palash, director general (Additional Inspector General) of the Special Response Battalion (SRB) in Dhaka, has been appointed as an Additional Inspector General at the Police Directorate.
Meanwhile, Faruk Ahmed, Additional Inspector General of Highway Police, has been appointed as the new director general of SRB Dhaka.
The notification also confirmed Palash's reassignment to the Police Directorate as an Additional Inspector General.
