


Australia secured a four-wicket victory over India in the second T20I at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
The win was set up by a bowling masterclass from fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who took a devastating 3-13, racking up 15 dot balls to dismantle India’s top order. India was bowled out for a modest 125 in front of 82,438 fans.
India's innings was rescued by opener Abhishek Sharma, who top-scored with a superb 68 off 37 balls, sharing a 56-run stand with Harshit Rana (35). However, only these two batters reached double figures. In the chase, captain Mitchell Marsh hammered 46 off 26 balls, driving a 51-run opening partnership with Travis Head.
Australia comfortably reeled in the target with 40 balls to spare. Hazlewood was named man-of-the-match for his opening spell, which included dismissing Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma.
