Jubo Dal Leader Denounces ‘False Cases’ in Lohagara Press Conference

Kashipur Union Jubo Dal President Md. Tariqul Islam held a press conference at his residence in Ishangati village on Saturday to protest against multiple cases filed against him and his family members in Lohagara Upazila.

Reading a written statement, Tariqul Islam alleged that a neighbor Shiuli Begum backed by local political opponents had filed three false and harassing cases against his family following the political transition on August 5. He stated that the accusations were designed to politically discredit him and tarnish the image of the local BNP unit.

Tariqul confirmed that he and all co-accused are currently out on bail. He called upon authorities to conduct an impartial investigation, drop all harassing charges and take legal action against those spreading propaganda.

Senior local party figures attended the briefing in support, including Lohagara Upazila BNP Vice President Md. Nayeb Ali, Kashipur Union BNP General Secretary Md. Oliyar Rahman and Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Shah Alam Sikder.
