25 candidates file nominations for two parliamentary constituencies in Jhalakathi

A total of 25 candidates have filed nominations for two parliamentary constituencies in Jhalakathi ahead of the upcoming national elections. This information was revealed by the District Returning Officer's office.

Various political parties and independent candidates submitted their nominations for Jhalakathi-1 and Jhalakathi-2 constituencies. On the last day of nomination submission, a festive atmosphere was created in the presence of the candidates at the District Commissioner's office and the concerned upazila premises.

After submitting their nominations, the candidates expressed their expectation for a peaceful and participatory election in accordance with the election code of conduct. The concerned officials said that the scrutiny, withdrawal and allocation of symbols will be completed as per the scheduled schedule.

Rafiqul Islam Jamal of BNP, Ibrahim Al Hadi of Jamaat-e-Islami Andolan, Mahmuda Mitu of NCP, Mostafizur Rahman Iran of Labor Party, Independent (BNP leader) Golam Azam Saikat, Kamruzzaman Khan of Jatiya Party, Enamul Islam Rubel of Jatiya Party have submitted their nomination papers for Jhalokati-1 constituency. Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto of BNP, Sheikh Neyamul Karim of Jamaat-e-Islami Andolan, Sirajul Islam Siraji of Islami Andolan, Sheikh Jamal Hossain of AB Party, and MA Quddus Khan of Jatiya Party have submitted their nomination papers for Jhalokati-2 constituency.

It is worth noting that there is increased interest among voters in both constituencies of Jhalokati regarding this year's elections.
