25 candidates file nomination papers for two seats in Jhalakathi

A total of 25 candidates have filed nomination papers for two seats in Jhalakathi district in the upcoming national parliamentary elections. This information has been revealed by the office of the Returning Officer.

Jhalakathi-1 (Rajapur-Kathalia) BNP Rafiqul Islam Jamal, Golam Azam Saikat (Independent), Moin Alam Firozi (Independent), Colonel Mostafizur Rahman (Independent), Sabbir Ahmed (Independent) Jamaat-e-Islami Faizul Haque, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Ibrahim Al Hadi Jatiya Party (JPA) Kamruzzaman Khan, Jatiya Party (JP) Enamul Islam Rubel, Mahibul Islam Mahim, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Sohrab Hossain, Gana Odhikar Parishad Shahadat Hossain, NCP Mahmuda Mitu, Labor Party Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Janata Dal Jasim Uddin Talukder.

Jhalakathi-2 (Nolchiti-Jhalakathi) BNP Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto, Jamaat-e-Islami Sheikh Neyamul Karim, Islami Andolan Bangladesh Sirajul Islam Siraji, Jatiya Party (JPA) M. A. Quddus Khan, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Masud Parvez, Gana Odhikar Parishad Mainul Islam Sagar, AB Party Sheikh Jamal Hossain, Independent candidates Md. Nuruddin Sardar and Syed Razzak Ali Selim.

According to the Returning Officer, the list of valid candidates will be published after the verification. The Election Commission will announce the final list of candidates after the deadline for withdrawal of candidatures.
