Former Bheramara Municipality Mayor Anwarul Kabir Tutul has announced his resignation from all organizational positions and activities within the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and its affiliated organization, the Jatiya Jubo Jote.
Tutul made the announcement during a press conference at his residence in the Rathpara area of Bheramara on Monday afternoon.
Before stepping down, Tutul served as a member of the Bheramara unit of JSD. He also held several leadership positions within the party and its youth wing, including Cultural Affairs Secretary of the Jatiya Jubo Jote's central committee and vice president of both the Kushtia District and Bheramara Upazila committees.
Explaining his decision, Tutul said his recent health problems, personal and family responsibilities, and increased business commitments have made it difficult for him to devote the time and attention required for party activities.
"As a result of these realities, and after careful consideration, I submitted my resignation to the president and general secretary of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), seeking to be relieved of all party organizational responsibilities and positions," he said.
Tutul emphasized that his resignation was based solely on personal circumstances and not motivated by any political disagreement or other personal agenda.
The party had not publicly commented on his resignation at the time of publication.
